Mick’s marine craft skills were honed during his apprenticeship, which he spent much of working on Navy vessels and Customs boats for Australia’s Defence Maritime Service.
This side of the business has grown significantly in four years, and today Mick’s Ally Fab is the preferred supplier for much of Darwin’s specialised marine work.
We service the vessels of many operators in the Territory’s oil and gas sector, and Mick’s Ally Fab has maintained the Paspaley Pearls fleet of trawlers and harvest boats since 2011.
Our commercial fishing clients trust us to repair their hulls, make and modify their fish traps and fabricate their stainless steel processing and conveyer equipment.
Our crew has also designed and fully fitted out six trawling boats with a different processing set up for each skipper.
Mick’s Ally Fab can fabricate, modify or repair anything in the marine category, in both stainless steel and aluminium:
- conveyers and processing equipment
- fuel and bilge lines
- refrigeration systems
- winch set-ups
- bait and sewerage tanks
- hull, exhaust and anchor repairs
- regular maintenance and survey.
Speak to Mick if you need some work done on your fleet.
